The Michigan Theatre at Jackson: Rich + Michelle Engaged

What can I even say about Rich and Michelle other than that I LOVE these two.  I am so honored to be behind the lens on this one and to be photographing their April 2012 wedding.  The best part is… and I will shout it from the rooftops as one of my greatest achievements to date… we actually introduced these lovebirds!  This boggles my mind…who are we, these outsiders to Michigan, that we should move here and within a year know two of the coolest people who happened to be each other’s soulmate? People who, though they have lived in the same county for ten plus years, had never met.  Cue us, Michigan Implants from Virginia, to introduce them.  At the county fair.

Rich and Michelle hit it off right away.  We actually walked to the fair (yes, the fair was a stretch for all of us, but come on, we needed a mid-week date!), and on the way back Rich and Michelle were in their own world.  We spent time together on their second date, and I soaked it up since I could tell that these two weren’t going to need Joel and I for much longer.  Since September of last year they have been adorably, inseparably, and undeniably in love–and headed towards marriage.   It has been such a privilege to watch two of our favorite people fall in love before our eyes.

Both being unique and super classy, we wanted to do something pretty special for their engagement session.  Enter The Michigan Theatre of Jackson.  There are no words to describe this awe-inspiring  mind-blowing photographer’s playground.   In case you are wondering, all you brides out there, YES!  You can actually have your wedding here!  I would definitely consider it if breathtakingly beautiful, distinctly unique, and charmingly historic were at the top of my list.  These were great reasons to choose it for an engagement session–it was the perfect venue!   See for yourself.

This place is seriously amazing.

The cool, vintage chairs.  Cool, modern people.  Photographer’s dream!

Rich and Michelle are both really awesome shoe-people.  If you know me, you know that shoes taste ranks right up there next to good-heartedness.  They both are brimming with the former and the latter.

Congratulations, Rich and Michelle!
